Abstract

The article presents analysis of the themes, related with questions of self-determination and patriotism, and topical for the scientific-humanitarian discourse of Germany in the 1990s. An attempt has been made to single out the fundamental thematical dominants and to confront particular features of the positions held by the scholars of the East and of the West Germany of that time.
