Abstract

The author retraces the relation of election metaphors to the behaviour of the electoral process actors, with the participation of the Yabloko party and of the Right Forces Union in the past parliamentary elections in Russia (December 2003) as example. Election metaphors are revealed, that were basic in the discourse of the leaders of the said organizations, and then the author turns to clearing up just how these metaphors influenced their electoral strategies.
