Abstract

In the article a concise essay retracing formation and development of political science in the Perm Oblast is contained. Generalizing the Perm experience, the author demonstrates that political make-up of respective RF regions substantially influences the condition of regional political science. At the same time, according to his conclusion, the level of the development of the latter, as well as the degree of interaction between political scientists and practical politicians determine to a great extent the success of democratic transformations on a scale both of separate regions and of Russia as a whole.
