Abstract

Author summarizes the principal positions of the “new regionalism” concept, whose topicality and substantiality were corroborated in the course of researching East Asian intergovernmental organizations (IGOs). The Asian financial crisis meant a critical impetus promoting mostly formation of the closed model of the East Asian regionalism, and the consequences of the 2008 world financial crisis, the author suggests, will promote the same trend.
