Abstract

It’s modern state of political anthropology that the author discusses in the article, observing the main scientific schools and demonstrating the essence of the problems investigated. Historical evolution of the science is also characterized, though. Transformation of its subject-matter is retraced – from classical issues of studying leadership in primitive society, of the origin of state, up to the investigation of political processes in post-traditional and neopatrimonial societies.
