On the basis of the studies that are realized in the Institute of Sociology (of the Russian Academy of Sciences) and in other sociological centers, the author of this article analyzes the evolution of socially determined attitudes of mind, as well as ideological and political orientations of the “generation of the 2000s”. The author analyzes diverse forms of political and social participation in the context of the changed that have been taking place in the country in the recent years.
