Abstract

Analyzed in the article are Russians’ everyday ideas about the dangers to individual security, that are conditioned by criminality situation, and about the problems of the law-administering organs’ work to counteract them. Considerable attention is paid to socio-psychological aspects of the population’s anxiety about criminal dangers, to questions of confidence for the police and for other law-administering organs.
