Abstract

The subject discussed in the article is new tasks facing comparative politics and world politics following the expansion and the deepening of the object of modern political studies, i.e. of the world of the Political. The author holds that neither comparative politics, nor world politics can under the present conditions count on any “disciplinary autarchy” whatsoever. On the contrary, prospects of their development, in his opinion, presuppose synergy through “world-politicizing” of comparative politics (inclusion of supranational and transnational interactions in the comparativists’ sphere of interests) and “comparative-politicizing” of world politics (involvement of traditional national political structures and of subnational actors and processes into its analytical field).
