Abstract

The world has entered the next regular (by the cyclic paradigm of development) period of global economic depression, politically entailing a period of equally global grandiose socio-political shocks. But if the economic constituent of what is going on today is on the whole generally recognized, then the coming socio-political effects have yet been hardly grasped, with a view for their comprehension, even by specialists. In the article, an attempt is made to concretize the theoretical models that have been being worked out by the author since the early 1990s and, on this basis, to propose approaches to prognostication of possible socio-political consequences of the current global financial crisis.
