Abstract

The article deals with symbolic modelling of socio-political processes in Russia (first of all on the basis of the state symbols – the national flag, the national anthtem, the President) in the period of 1985 to 2008. The author, singling out the elements of the model, symbolizing the experience of the Russian Empire, of the USSR and of the institution of Presidency, considers the integral products of these symbols. He analyzes prospects of the “imperial-Soviet-presidential” model of Transformation (2004—2008) in the context of Russia’s inclusion into the global capitalist symbolic exchange and influences the world socio-political development.
