Abstract
A collective work edited by Marta Dubczok, a Western researcher, and Oxana Gaman-Golutvina, a Russian political scientist, – a book that was published in English just at the time when twenty years had already passed after the collapse of the Communist system, is observed and estimated in this book review. The role of mass media in the post Communist transformations is retraced in the book and considered in the book review.
