Abstract

The narratives of Russian documentary films about natural and anthropogenic catastrophes of last two decades in history of the Russian Federation are explored on the basis of the N.Luhmann’s concept of the power as a communicative system. As a result communicative «the accident code» is reconstructed. It is proved, that a disaster code and a power code in communicative systems are linked by logic of denial: absence of the power generates the disaster.

Keywords
natural catastrophes; anthropogenic catastrophes; communicative code; Luhmann’s concept of power.
