Abstract

In this article author asserts that the global community transition to an information stage transmutes the communication space into geopolitical category, therefore the methods, which are adequate to these new realities, have to be used for solutions of geostrategical tasks. The content of the «Intelligent Power» concept is considered and shown as the most effective method of modern foreign policy. The main approaches to the interpretation of the «Public Diplomacy» conception as a tool used within the framework of «Intelligent Power» are described in the key part of the article. Also author analyzes the role of social networks in development of communication used by «Public Diplomacy», he touches the problem of social networks’ impact upon current political processes too.
