Abstract

The author claims that M.M. Speransky’s reform experience is still actual and opens a question of the possibility of liberal way of development for Russian state and society. It also makes one think about cultural specifics of Russian history and may serve as a methodological basis for revision of some aspects of Russian liberalism and conservatism.
