Abstract

Considered in the article are basic risks and alternatives of the political development of modern Ukraine, due to its intermediate geopolitical position between the countries of the European Union. on the one hand, and Russia – on the other. It is demonstrated that Ukraine’s radical rejection of integration with Russia entails a multitude of problems and dangers for Ukrainian politics and economics. Fundamental variants and prospective scenarios of integrative interaction of Ukraine and Russia have been considered by the authors.
