Abstract
The deep, though almost never named reason for the ongoing geopolitical revolution – an unprecedented rapid shift in the global balance of power from the West and from Europe to China and Asia – is a radical change in the military-political balance of power on which the world order is ultimately based. Almost half a Millennium Europe-West had military superiority, which was based on their dominance in the world economy, politics, ideological sphere. The process of losing superiority ended the 2010s. Superiority began to go after the acquisition of the USSR, then China’s nuclear weapons, which gradually began to deprive the West of the opportunity to impose its interests by military force. Russia, ensuring the interests of its security, has become the “midwife of history”, largely provided the basis for the current historical shift, the expansion of freedom of choice for countries and peoples.
