Abstract

The author essays the task of structural analysis of ecological politics, the latter appearing as a process of interaction of the "players" at the respective regional political scene. Materials underlying the article come from empirical researches carried out by O.N.Yanitzky in 1996 to 2000 in five regions of Russia. The account now presented, offers, in particular, a structural model of regional ecopolitics in the form of a "triangle": the power - the non-governmental ecological organizations - the scientific community; the main phases of the ecopolitical process are, furthermore, outlined. The author demonstrates: the asymmetry of the relations within the said "triangle"; the conflict-proneness inherent to these relations; the presence in the three "contracting parties'" actions, of public and manifest, as well as latent aspects. Anyway, Russian ecological movement, in the author's opinion, retains its capacity to influence regional ecopolitics.
