The article contains critical analysis of the ways of interpreting the notion of “conservative revolution”, widely used in political science and journalism. The author’s attention is focused on historiography of its “German” variant with which, first and foremost, researchers associate the term itself and check all the posterior versions of the phenomenon it designates. The conceptions under consideration in the article, are estimated both from the viewpoint of their own logic and in respect of productivity of the phenomenon interpretation each of them suggests. Summing up, the author points to the renaissance, outlined since late1990s, of “revolutionary-conservative” sentiments, and to the extraordinarily intensified scholarly polemic about most of the notions related to the phenomenon.
