Abstract

Analyzed in the article, on the basis of sociological data, are the tendencies characterizing the change of the level of support of democratic ideas, values and procedures in modern Russian society (2000-2012). Presented are the dynamics of the political preferences shown by the citizens in connection with the specificity of the political system’s modernization; factors of democratization are investigated.
