At the age of 94 on June 2, 2023, Yuri Andreevich Krasin passed away – a former long-term member of “Polis. Political Studies” Editorial Board, our true friend, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, leading researcher, Head of the Department for Analysis of Socio-Political Processes at the Institute of Sociology, Russian Academy of Sciences (1993-2017), associate fellow (2017-2023) and Honorary Doctor of the co-founder of our journal – Institute of Sociology of the Federal Scientific Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Krasin was a brilliant scientist, who became for many of us and our colleagues a guide to the world of political science, opening the way to it since the 1970s. Lately, he was especially passionate about exploring the field of new humanism and pluralism. A man of the highest moral standards, he earned the love and respect of those who worked and studied with him.
