On October 6, it was the 95th anniversary of the founder of Polis, Igor PANTIN. Congratulations to our mentor and the first editor-in-chief of the journal on such a significant event! This is a great day, it is a reason for pride and joy. I. Pantin is an example of fortitude, confidence and love of life. We always feel like we are behind a stone wall, we are always waiting for his wise advice. We wish hin to meet the 100th anniversary with the same wise smile!

Congratulations on the anniversary of a great friend of our journal, Full Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Rector of MGIMO, Anatoly TORKUNOV! Besides his highest level of professionalism as a historian and political scientist, and his charisma that has allowed him to become an outstanding leader and lead the entire large team at MGIMO, he possesses a selfless willingness to help. We remember that during a difficult moment for 'Polis', he saved the journal.

MGIMO is a co-founder of the journal, and we prepared issue No. 5 of 'Polis' specifically for the Rector's anniversary. Here we publish the opening dialogue between MGIMO professors and members of the Editorial Board of the journal, Tatiana Alexeeva and Marina Lebedeva, titled 'International Political Thought: Challenges and Renewal'. December 1 it was confirmed that on November 27, Takashi Inoguchi, a prominent political scientist and member of the International Editorial Board of Polis. Political Studies journal, died in his apartment in Tokyo as a result of a severe fire. We convey our deepest condolences to his widow, Ms. Kuniko Inoguchi, and to all his relatives and colleagues.

訃報。12月1日、著名な政治学者であり、学術誌「Polis」の国際編集委員会メンバーである猪口孝氏が11月27日の東京の自宅での火事により亡くなられたことが発表されました。これは日本だけでなく、世界の政治学界にとっても大きな損失です。
